It was in a hospital in San Francisco on Memorial day, May 31, 1982. I was born. For five years, I cant really remember because my memories are hazy, and I don't remember much from that time. I remember going to China and Hong Kong when I was really small. Visiting with my grandma's family, on a big house with chickens and pigs and animals, in the country. I remember walking in the dirty smelly dark alleys of Hong Kong.
Once, my grandfather left me and my little sister in a truck (we couldn't have been more than 4 years old at the time). The truck caught on fire while we were still strapped into our seat-belts. Luckily for us, my uncle noticed this, scrambled to the truck, signaled my sister to unlock the door from the inside, undid our belts, and pulled us from the burning truck.
I spent my childhood growing up on the Peninsula, in Foster City. My family lived on Barkentine street until I was about five years old, then we moved to Surfbird Isle when I started going to kindergarten. I attended Audoban elementary school, k-8. I was picked on a lot. I had no friends, except for a half black half white kid named Jasper. We used to race across the schoolyard. I was faster than him for a few grades, and I remember he'd used to say, 'you're fast' and we'd drink milk together. After school, me and my little sister would go play at the afterschool program thingy. I remember that was where I had a crush on this girl Aimee, so I drew a big heart with red crayon, and I gave it to her, and she said, 'eeeeewwwwwww'. I was so embarrassed. I also used to walk home with another asian kid who lived on my street. He was half my size, but one time I swung my backpack, that had my lunchbox in it. It sent him flying to the ground, and it made him cry, and I felt bad. I only did it cause he swung his backpack at me and it hurt really bad. After that, he came to my house and my grandma gave him a donut...

I was born and raised on Long Island in NY. I moved to California in 2000. I have a degree in Computer Science, and that is what I do for a living. When I'm not working, I am likely enjoying the open air on one of my motorcycles, or taking my dog for a walk. I also like to read now and then, and I'm a big Stephen King fan. I did take flying lessons a few years back, but never did get my private pilot's license. It is something that I may get back into soon. When I was younger, my family did have a boat. For some inexplicable reason, I decided to edit my profile from the bottom up instead of top down (maybe I wanted to stick it to the MAN, but it's more likely that I'm just an idiot). Now I'm left with surprisingly little to say.

Although it has been a few years since I went to college full time, I still consider myself a student, and I probably will always consider myself such even after I complete my degree, as I believe the word means more than just a taker of classes. It is my long-held desire to go on to complete graduate school and teach. While my field was once Philosophy, it is likely that I will be switching to Political Science when I go back to school sometime in the next year or so. I love learning; I find that my strongest friendships are with those who can teach me something new about the world or about myself.

Hello. well I'm a to the point kind of gal. I am a therapist, the shrink kind, and I am a pretty clear communicator. In my experience with on line dating in the past, men don't read the whole profile anyway so I'm not going to waste time typing ! The last web site I was on , I wrote a well thought out essay and at the end, just to see if people read it, I asked for the reader to put a smiley face in the subject line to let me know that they actually read my profile. Would you believe that I got over 200 emails and only ONE smiley face. I know it is not scientific, but the research has proven (to me!) that if you guys like the pic, the rest is not as important. Here are the basics:

I've been living here in the bay area for the past 3 years and have been having fun exploring the area. I was originally born and raised in Hawaii and moved to see how the world works outside of an island. Basically I had a small case of island fever.

My favorite thing to do is laugh! I think that it's the best medicine. Humor keeps you young and healthy. My friends would probably say that I am very outgoing, easy to talk to, loyal, warm, and a great shoulder to lean on. I love to play volleyball, go on an occasional hike, taking random car rides, road trips, eating at new restaurants, travel, and meeting new people. I also like to have those lazy days at home watching DVD's. I like balance in life.

I was born in Poland and moved to California when I was three. I've always lived in the Bay Area, but really love SoCal and the East Coast (although, despite my earlier aspirations, I don't think I could live there). I like sports - the Sharks are my current obsession (and I turn into the biggest sports nerd during the Olympics!), music, photography, reading, and traveling. I love doing stuff outdoors, especially when it's sunny - but I am just as happy relaxing at home, watching a good movie or playing guitar. :-)

I work at a financial consulting company, which has turned into a very *interesting* job in the last few months. But, on the weekends, I try to make up for the hectic 9-5 by going out with friends, running around the city, checking out concerts, going for a walk on the beach (even when its freezing cold!), hanging out at a bar or club, or do a low-key movie or ice skating night -- honestly, I'm usually down for anything...

Often people's initial impression of me is that I'm calm, cool and collected. I think I get that from my dad aka 'John Wayne'. I'm an archetypal gemini, with an aries moon and libra ascendent for the astrologers out there (ask me about my stellium in gemini and the lovely venus, neptune, jupiter t-square). I like French wine, British music and Italian clothes. I'm picky about my shoes and bourbon, but couldn't care less about who wins the superbowl or goes to the final four (and if they all come back next year, how final is it?). That being said, I'll get up at 3:30 a.m. to watch the Belgium Grand Prix or the start of the vingt-quatre heures du Mans, and I'll cheer like a mad man when Newcastle United scores on Sunderland. I'm a label whore and food snob, but I can also be found wearing a ripped t-shirt eating fast food. For more you'll have to ask me.

Who am I? You sure you want to know? The story of my life is not for the faint of heart. If somebody said it was a happy little tale... if somebody told you I was just your average ordinary guy, not a care in the world... somebody was right.

So I'm kind of old-fashioned when it comes to dating. I will open that door for you, call you when I say I will, and doing the little thing to make you feel special. Isn't that what its all about anyways? Giving and receiving? I have strong family values and greatly appreciate the time spent with friends and loved ones.

Maybe you noticed maybe you didn't â?? I'm a fan of movies, and not just Spider-Man either. I know it's cliche in a way but I don't want to live to work, not what life is about. I want to travel and see the world. I want to one day own a business and a house. I want a family. I also want to go back to school and take some classes like cooking, photography, and other such subjects to learn about the world and beyond.

Where does one start...hmm well I am a Giant's fan. I like beer and jager. I do hair and love it. I like to go out with friends, watch movies, drink, I love paintballing, and going camping. I am Japanese, Irish, German, English, Scottish. I have a brother who is recently married and I love my sis-in-law. I have about 30 cousins who I see and hangout with a lot, they are my friends as well as family. I've had my fair share of jerks so I'm not interested in that.

I draw, write, paint now, and plan to be doing computer modeling in the near future. I am a gamer but am also social and use to drive a lot before I moved, and fast.

I am now an art student at The Art Institute of Califoria - San Francisco (official title). Previously, I went to College of Marin, across the Golden Gate Bridge from SF.

I am slightly paranoid and obsessed with the color green.

I feel that I am usually either happy or blah.

I love the smell of bookstores. Not sure why it's been so long since I've been in one. Perhaps its the same reason I'm on a dating site instead of a date right now. I'm just a guy with a wonderful family that figured out a way to get into trouble just enough to enjoy life, and not enough to screw it up. I'm addicted to a few things, among them TiVo and finding parking spots within 5 minutes. What's a little walking gonna hurt?

I love being with other people but sometimes I prefer to be alone. I like things that are challenging to master, as the rewards are always greater in the end.

I enjoy many different sports, including but not limited to: skiing, snowboarding, golf, skateboarding, paintball, football, browsing reddit... if it's fun I'll probably do it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm a pretty smart person and occasionally funny, though there is conflicting information. (Ask about picture)

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to LA as a little kid. I graduated from Berkeley with a Computer Science degree and working as a software engineer on the Peninsula Area for the past few years. I love golf, snowboarding and hanging out with good friends.

I'm your average joe/ guy next door type of guy. With a huge heart,an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and a meal to feed you with (haha).
I am a jack of all trades type of person. I love to build things, and fix things etc. I'm kind of a handyman type of person. I love learning about new things and expanding my knowledge base, so that I can accomplish any goal and help anyone out.

I usually am never acknowledged as a gay man. In a group people see me as "straight," and I think that is just because of my mannerism and demeanor. I am not ashamed of being gay at all. AT ALL. I am very happy and proud with who I am, and I have no problem proclaiming it.

I love to cook and bake. Now my Italian/French heritage gets the better of me and I tend to cook for an army. So inevitably, I give a lot of food to friends and family. I love cooking for parties, family gatherings, and for that special someone.

In a social setting, I'm the guy who is the life of the party. In a room full of strangers I have no problem walking up to people and striking up a conversation. I love to people watch too. :) People fascinate me to no end.

I love to laugh. I love to make others laugh. I know the saying is "an apple a day," but I truly believe its "a laugh a day." I believe that life is designed for us to be serious when we need to be, and all other times its to have fun and laugh. I never take myself to seriously, life is to short.

Let's see, I had a great childhood. Oldest of 4 girls and we're all very close. Managed to make it through high school unscathed and navigated through a few college courses...wasn't my thing. I joined the Air Force and had a great time. Wouldn't hesitate for a minute to re-enslist and fight for this country. Married and then divorced 12 years later. We gave it a good run, wasn't meant to last. Happily single with no baggage and no kids. I enjoy my life, even though it may be missing someone to share it with. I love to travel and bake. I love to eat but cooking isn't my thing, but I can cook. I workout daily even though I am told I should take a day off...never been good at being told what to do. I have a love/hate relationship with California, there is so much to love and so much I don't like about it. Born and raised here, this is where my home is but not my heart. I've lived in both Arizona and Tenneseee and I am looking for a quieter and simpler life. I suppose that's enough for a summary?
