Shekhina, The Hebrew Feminine Face of God The Shekhinah has been referred to as the divine manifestation of God�s presence. She is equated with the indwelling of the �Spirit of the Lord.� Christians references are made of her as the �Glory of the Lord.� To many she represents the feminine attributes of God�s presence. As the bride of the Lord, she is the manifestation of God in humans. Our life task on earth is to transform our body temple into a dwelling place of the Eternal, to open ourselves to the awareness of the divine presence within.
