I attended this school and received an amazing education. Now my child is attending the same school and receiving a fabulous education. Arundel PTA is strong, teachers are fabulous and the principal and secretary are incredible. Thank you to all the Arundel community for being one of the best schools on the planet!

This is our 5th year at Arundlel. I have a daughter in 4th and one in 2nd. This school rocks! Most of the teachers are by far, far above average. Miss. Polati, Mr. Sanchez, Ms. Wolfe, Miss Bolger and Ms. Vandor are excellent teachers that my kids have had. The principal leadership is great. The parent donation, leadership and volunteer is absolutely phenomenal, however while voluntary... it would be nice to spread the work a little more evenly.

We are really happy about Arundel. My daughter has attended three elementary schools in the area so far including one private school, and Arundel is the best among them. The principal, teachers, staff and parents are all great. We especially appreciate the teacher of my daughter's class. She is very loving and encouraging to my daughter. She always responds to our emails promptly and with positive and helpful insights. My daughter enjoys going to school everyday. Arundel also has very active parents participation. They get a lot of extracurricular activities, and we enjoy them so much. Coming from a private school with supposedly more advanced academic background, my daughter never complains about being bored here. She is actually excited about all the new things she is learning. We just wish we could have joined earlier!

My child has attended k-3rd grade so far at Arundel. My daughter is 4th generation at Arundel. My mother was the first to attend Arundel in the 1950's. Me and my siblings attended...Principal Kaufman is a strong leader and is liked. Mrs.Higgabothom is the best kindergarten teacher ever! Everyone loves her! The school is committed to helping students succeed. The curriculum is age appropriate .The location is ideal. And the upgrades and improvements are well under way. Parent involvement is outstanding. I highly recommend this school. It has been tried and test over the years and has proved to be a worthy and notable school. The generations keep coming back as a testament!

I always knew i wanted my daughter to be at Arundel. I heard nothing but great things about it before i even had children. She is now finishing up the first grade and is very happy there. Arundel is about to start focusing on Scientific studies. When she was in kindergarten, her class recieved a duck egg, which was in an incubator in the class for the whole school year. When the last month of school was winding down, their duck hatched, and they each got to take a picture holding the new little duckie that they watched and learned about everyday. We are very pleased with her school. All around greatness!!

Arundel is an outstanding elementary school. I attribute it to 1/ a caring, active and creative principal 2/ parents very involved 3/ something not often mentioned, a great location with a 'nook' feeling, plenty of trees and heathy park close by - this contributes to kids well-being. Top notch.

My son has been at Arundel for 3+ years, and we are very happy with it. The quality of the teaching has been consistently good. Parental involvement is high, and good-spirited. I feel my son is getting an excellent education, and enjoying it, too, for the most part. I send my son there every day with confidence that he is going to be safe, stimulated, and enriched.

Overall, Arundel does a darn good job with little money. They place a high priority on diversity (a good thing, in my opinion), Two other issues, which need to be corrected by the district not the school, are incomprehensible and complicated report cards that mean very little, and a lot of talk but no action on differentiated instruction.

I'm quite pleased with the caliber of the curriculum at Arundel, as well as the dedication of teachers and parents, alike. In general, standards are high and the STAR test scores reflect that. My only criticism is that all subjects are 'taught to the middle', leaving little opportunity for advanced students to push themselves a bit harder. This is both a political and a fiscal problem--the former because the notion of 'tracking' is frowned upon these days, and the latter because there isn't enough money to make more opportunities available. That said, Arundel does a more than admirable job with the cards they have been dealt.

This is a great school. I have a 3rd and 1st grader. The teachers and parents work hard. They are doing everything they can to better the community. Everyone works together to make things happen.

My son has been at Arundel for Kindergarten and 1st Grade, and my daughter will enter Kindergarten in the Fall. So far I have been very impressed with the caliber and genuine concern and interest demonstrated by his teachers. Also, there is a strong sense of parental and community involvement. So much so that even though I work, I have felt motivated to participate in school events and his classroom as much as possible. This was the first year for the new principal, so it will be interesting to see if she becomes more visible and approachable over the next few years. Overall, a wonderful school that I am proud to send my children to for their elementary education.
